The AFPCMOS produces New Warrior Diplomats from the Philippine Security Forces and Government Agencies

Fifty five (55) officers from the AFP, PNP, BJMP, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and civilian employees from some government agencies graduate from the Strategic Civil-Military Operations Officers’ Online Course (SCMOOOC) Class 15-18 and are recognized as the new Warrior Diplomats, soldiers specialized in CMO and valued partners in nation-building.

The closing ceremony of the course was held at the AFP CMO School, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City on September 14, 2018, headed by MGEN BIENVENIDO R DATUIN JR AFP, Commander of the Civil Relations Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP).  The Commandant of the AFPCMOS, LTC JEROME V CABIGON (INF) PA delivered the welcome remarks to the closing ceremony of the 15th batch of graduates of the online course.  Among the 55-strong graduates, CPT ROMULO VALENTE M PALOMINO (INF) PA ranked Number One, PCInsp BENJAMIN D BALAIS ranked Number Two, and 2LT EVRAM JAN ISRAEL C GALO PAF ranked Number Three.

Atty Philip Sigfrid A. Fortun, guest speaker during the ceremony, gave to the new warrior diplomats his inspirational message and congratulations, and left them an open-ended challenge:  “upgrade your skills to serve your public better.”  Atty. Fortun said to the graduates that their real grades come from how well they apply in their workplace the concepts learned from the course.

The School continues to offer an opportunity for students from the Philippine Security Forces and other government agencies to undergo CMO training through distance learning using its Web-Based Learning Management System and will open the next online course in the First Quarter of 2019.
