The Armed Forces of the Philippines Civil-Military Operations School (AFPCMOS) has opened two new courses, the Strategic CMO Officers Online Course Class 10-16 and the Strategic CMO Non-commissioned Officers Course Class 15-16, in a ceremony attended by the no less than the Commander of the Civil Relations Service, AFP, BGEN JOSELITO E KAKILALA as the keynote speaker. A total of 51 students who registered for the officers’ online course were presented by its Course Director MAJ MARK LESTER CABUNOC, while the 37 non-commissioned officers enrolled in the Strategic CMO Non-commissioned Officers Course Class 15-16 were introduced by MAJ EMMANUEL DIASEN.
In his welcome remarks, the School Commandant LTC EDGARDO V TALAROC JR encouraged the students to deal with the challenges that would come their way as they take their course, but they should not hold back and more importantly, to have “a heart of a warrior diplomat.” On the other hand, BGEN KAKILALA emphasized to the students that CMO is a new type of warfare in that it is “more enduring as it destroys the morale of the enemy and their psychological will to fight.”
The Officers’ online course will run for 12 weeks while the NCO course will last for 16 weeks. – (Anabel Lasaten)
