A total of forty-six (46) “Warrior Diplomats” coming from the different units of the AFP and invited students from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Bureau of Fire Protection successfully finished the Strategic CMO NCO Course Class 20-19.
The Commander, Armed Forces of the Philippines Reserve Command (AFPRESCOM) BGEN ROLANDO RODIL AFP, graced the Closing Ceremony as the Guest of Honor and Speaker on 13 June 2019 at Bulwagang Reyes, CRSAFP, Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City. Also present during the ceremony is MGEN BIENVENIDO R DATUIN JR AFP Commander, CRSAFP together with COL ANTONIO Z FRANCISCO JR PAF (GSC) the Deputy Commander, CRSAFP.
The former civilian employee of the Office the Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil Military Operations FO1 Felirose B Magno from the BFP emerged as number one (1) among the graduates. She also received other individual awards such as Best in Aptitude and Best in Target Audience and Issue Analysis. Likewise, she received a Special Studies Award for the Best in Strategic Communications Snapshot which her team obtained the highest rating. Graduated top two (2) is AW1C Maricel R Pamittan from the Philippine Air Force. AW1C Pamittan together with AW2C Kristel Andrea S Petalio PAF received the AFP CMO School, Commandant’s Award and Best in Communication Skills Award. Earned the third spot is PO3 Ramel P Supang from the Philippine National Police, Special Action Force. He also received the Special Studies Award for the Best in Strategic Communications Snapshot.
Other awards were also presented to deserving graduates, the Leadership Award was received by SSg Chrestoper S Faro (QMS) PA, Physical Proficiency Award earned by Cpl Michael D Gonzaga (Inf) PA and SSg Michael Joe C Fabian (OS) PA was acknowledged in fulfilling his duties and responsibilities in the role rendered as class president. Moreover, commendable group outputs of the graduates such as Area Study, Strategic Communications Snapshot, Video and Short Film Editing were recognized.
The Guest of Honor and Speaker, BGEN ROLANDO RODIL AFP stressed in his message the important take away that the graduates get from the course is not really the award that matter it’s the relationship and the bonding they established at the end. He also cited that they have the chance to exchange best practices when they go back to their respective units, like the kind of network that the Civil Relations Service, AFP needs.
Moreover, emphasized the importance of their role in today’s warfare and in countering the narratives which the right information which one key point instrument of national power.
He also shared the Reserve Force Civil Military Affairs Training which fully maximizes the potential of the reservists and to extend help also to CRSAFP.
