The AFP Civil-Military Operations School has opened the Strategic CMO NCO Course Class 20-19 on 12 February 2019 at Bulwagang Reyes, Civil Relations Service Armed Forces of the Philippines, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Quezon City.
This batch of future Warrior Diplomats is composed of Forty-Six (46) personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
FCMS Lito A Tompayogan (Inf) PA, the AFP Sergeant Major, graced the activity as the guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message, FCMS Tompayogan PA said “It’s not the firepower that brings actions, but the people who hold that firepower.”
The AFP Sergeant Major said that he was happy to see students from the three branches of service of the AFP, as well as those from the BJMP, PNP and BFP, and added his hopes for their productive stay in the school, and a fruitful outcome both inside the classroom, and in their respective work as they return to their respective units. He also pointed out how the students can learn in the classroom, from their instructors, and from their colleagues and co-learners.
This 46 students make up the first of two classes for this year of the course that intends to develop and train AFP and non-AFP personnel in providing strategic CMO support to CMO units and become effective CMO operators and assistant planners.
