AFP Civil-Military Operations School once again produced a new breed of “Warrior Diplomats” through its distance learning course the AFP CMO Officers Correspondence Course Class 06-14.
On 16 May 2014 fifteen students proudly finished the 12 week training of the school. The graduates were officers from different units of the AFP, PNP, reserved officers from the Office of the Solicitor General and Supreme Court and civilian employees.
MAJ EDGARDO TALAROC (INF) PA, received a certificate of merit for being number one in the class. DR. BERNADETTE ESCOBAR from PMA got second place and received the Civil-Relations Service, AFP Commander Award. CPT ALBERT LAVANDERO MNSA JAGS (RES) from the Supreme Court, graduated third place.
The Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, MGEN LYSANDER A SUERTE AFP served as the guest of honor and speaker during the closing ceremony. In his message, he encouraged the graduates as CMO officers and practitioners to understand their essential roles in the current AFP thrusts particularly in taking the lead to engage key stakeholders. Likewise, he recognized the school on its multi-sectoral approach of training in accepting students from the other government agencies.
