53 STUDENTS GRADUATED FROM CMO COURSE

Never give up, a constant reminder to all students of Strategic CMO Officers Online Course Class 16-19 as they take the challenge in pursuing the course. A total of fifty-three (53) students completed the course which composed of personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Philippine Coast Guard and Civilian. In three months the students hurdled the management of time in a distance learning while working at the same time.

The 53 determined students graduated on 24 May 2019 held at Bulwagang Reyes, Civil Relations Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo Quezon City. The Commander, Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) MGEN ROY T DEVESA AFP graced the graduation ceremony as guest of honor and speaker. He was joined by the Commander, CRSAFP MGEN BIENVENIDO R DATUIN JR AFP.

With their persistence and commitment the students completed the course and CPT JONATHAN D LUBRIDO JR PA, graduated number one (1) followed by LTC DON G FRIVALDO PA and CPT ALDRIN S MORAL PA.

PMAJ RODEL G TRUMATA expressed his reflection as a student, “In the advent of technology, there is an advantage laid out on how to effectively engage the community, the challenge is to make a difference in our respective shop or office upon graduating the course”.

A reflection from SINSP RONEL INOT of BJMP he said that “he was able to hurdle the challenges of TMA’s and discussion towards the finish line” while LTJG MARICEL BORIOL came up with the #SusukaPeroDiSusuko and a hugot line “ Ang topic sa CMO parang crush kung hindi ka mapapanganga minsan hanggang titig ka nalang” which she defined as a thought provoking and challenging course.

Ms Marilyn M Payumo, RPsy, RPm stated Despite the diverse responsibilities in the respective offices they were able to comply all the TMA’s and discussions. She added to finish the course is not an easy ride, it requires persistence and she has been through sleepless nights.

MGEN DEVESA stressed in his message the importance of communication. He said that the number one responsibility is to provide the right information to the people and do not deceive the people but empower them by giving the truthful information. He also encourages the graduates to be a practitioner of their learning and try to practice it. Likewise, he challenged them to continue to improve and empower themselves.

The three months of enthralling experience of finishing all the requirements to graduate from the course and the constant encouragement from the Course Director MAJ LOUZEL A LARA PA to never quit, keep the students on moving forward towards the finish line and finally graduated from the course with satisfaction with new knowledge that is very helpful in their respective endeavors as they go back to their units and offices.
