AFPCMOS Goes Clean and Green

The Armed Forces of the Philippines Civil Military Operations School (AFPCMOS) has recently embarked on a partnership with  Mr. Illac Diaz and Ms. Tess Sevilla of My Shelter Foundation, in cooperation with Ms. Anna Turla of the Soldier’s Wives and Girlfriends (SWAG) Philippines, for the Liter of Light or Isang Litrong Liwanag project, which includes the school participating in the activity and being provided with solar panels that serve as source of renewable energy.

Solar panels have already been constructed in the facade of the school and more are scheduled to be built around its compound to generate renewable energy during daytime and provide light in the stark darkness of the night.

MAJOR EDGARDO V TALAROC JR, the Commandant of the AFPCMOS said that the solar energy project tie-up with the SWAG and My Shelter Foundation is in line with keeping the AFP Transformation Roadmap principles and being “maka-kalikasan” or showing environmental concern. – (Anabel T. Lasaten)
