The Armed Forces of the Philippines Civil Military Operations School (AFPCMOS) produced yet another batch of Warrior Diplomats, as 40 students from the Philippine Army, Air Force and Navy (Marines) who took up the Joint CMO Basic NCO Course Class 13-15, graduated in a ceremony graced by the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, J3 of the AFP, BRIGADIER GENERAL ANGELITO M. DE LEON.
In his speech, BGEN DE LEON conveyed to the graduates that the days are gone when soldiers only leave the camp to do patrolling duties. He said that the soldiers of today take part in stakeholder engagements, and emphasized that the CMO skills are very useful in such activities. He also encouraged the new warrior diplomats to stay focused, united and to work together in upholding the AFP’s goals.
Also present during the ceremony was the Commander of the Civil Relations Service, AFP, BGEN JOSELITO E. KAKILALA, who gave the welcome remarks and urged the graduates to value what they have learned from the course, as well as practice the skills they acquired with care, passion and compassion.
Aside from their diplomas and other awards, the students were also pinned with a CMO Badge given only to graduates of a CMO Course. This new batch of warrior diplomats now belongs to the AFPCMOS Alumni Association. (Anabel T. Lasaten)
