The AFP Civil Military School (AFPCMOS) welcomed two personnel from the US military – one professor from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and a US Army officer – for a short but worthwhile sharing of ideas and knowledge, where the visitors expressed their for the institution’s strategic vision and approach in the conduct of CMO courses to military and civilian personnel.
The visiting US personalities, who were accompanied by Military Information Support Team (MIST) of the Joint Special Operation Task Force – one of the strategic partners of AFPCMOS – specially noted how the primary institution of the Armed Forces conducts and teaches research to their students. They were especially impressed that in its 9 years of existence the school is able to have a strategic vision on how they teach and train their students in CMO.
Dr. Douglas A. Borer, PhD. Associate Professor, Department of Defense Analysis of the said Navy school, and Colonel Ian C. Rice of the US Army visited the school to discuss and exchange information on the best practices of CMO and how they their effectiveness are measured. Dr. Borer and Col. Rice were welcomed by the AFPCMOS Assistant Commandant CAPTAIN GENESIS A. GABRIDO PA, together with MAJOR ROCKY ROSARIA PN (M), the Course Director of the Joint Strategic NCO Course and MAJOR MICHAEL T. AQUINO PA, a member of the pool of instructors of the school.
AFPCMOS is currently forging strong and strategic partnerships with both national and international organizations in order to achieve its goal of pushing towards being a world-class CMO School. – Anabel T. Lasaten
