AFP CMO School designated as GSMO for CRSAFP

The newly-installed Commander of the Civil Relations Service Armed Forces of the Philippines (CRSAFP), BGEN Joselito E Kakilala AFP designated the Civil-Military Operations School (CMOS) as its Government Strategy Management Office (GSMO) tasked to partner with the Office of the Special Studies and Strategic Management, (OSSSM) in cascading the AFP Transformation Roadmap (ATR).

To ensure that the CMOS training staff will be properly informed and effectively equipped, as well as to take on the right direction, in the said endeavour, the CMOS Commandant, MAJOR EDGARDO V TALAROC JR PA requested the OSSSM, AFP to conduct Governance and Strategy Management guidance through a one-hour per week conference workshop that started on 16 February 2015 and will continue in the next two months.

Aside from the school staff, MAJ TALAROC also enjoined select CRSAFP personnel to participate in the said conference workshop that will be conducted by the Chief, Strategy Management Division, OSSSM, LTC RUEL G ROMBOA (INF) PA and the Chief, Strategic Alignment Branch of the Department, MAJ EDGARDO L VILCHEZ JR (INF) PA.

The CRSAFP has already attained the “Initiated” Phase of the Performance Governance System (PGS) Pathway and is projecting to reach the “Compliant” stage by accomplishing the required hallmarks.

The AFP CMO School firmly believes that the AFP Transformation Roadmap is “a strategic measure to ensure that the AFP would have professional, empowered and effective soldiers for the future” attaining the vision of a World-Class Armed Forces that is a source of National Pride by 2028. – Anabel T.
